Registered Texas Longhorns are cattle that are included in a Texas Longhorn cattle registry (such as the Texas Longhorn Breedes Association of America or the International Texas Longhorn Association). By submitting a Longhorn's information to a registry, the breeder is certifying that the sire and dam are registered Longhorns as well. If you purchase a registered Texas Longhorn, be sure that the seller transfers the ownership of the animal to you.

Consider becoming a member of one or both Texas Longhorn Associations! It's a great way to learn more about the breed, and even connect with other Registered Texas Longhorn breeders in your area. There are also state/area affiliates, so partcipate in Longhorn activities and sales in your area.

Many Longhorn breeders have websites showcasing their Registered Texas Longhorn herds. From showing their foundation genetics to listing cattle for sale, the Longhorn member websites can be a good place to start in your search for registered Longhorns.
