Finding Texas Longhorn Breeders
Texas Longhorn Cattle Breeders are individuals and ranches who raise Texas Longhorns. There are Texas Longhorn breeders throughout the world that raise a variety of Longhorn genetics. Some only have 1 or 2 Longhorns, while others have hundreds of them.
A good place to look for a Longhorn cattle breeder is the Longhorn cattle associations - the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America and the International Texas Longhorn Association. Both of these associations have membership directories, so you can check for breeders in your area.
Breeders are passionate about their Longhorns and the industry, and are certainly happy to talk Longhorns! It's usually best to contact them first to let them know your interest (number of Longhorns you are looking for, price, etc) - many times they can email you pictures and information so you'll have an idea of what is available before you go to visit. Be sure to allow lots of time when you get there, as most breeders are happy to answer any questions you have and they are a great source of information.
